Management of obesity or overweight

Recommended for patients with BMI ≥ 30, or ≥ 27 with comorbidities (type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia)

Used along with a calorie-restricted, low-fat diet
🔹 ⚙️ Mechanism of Action:
🔹 ⏱️ Dosage and Administration:

One capsule (120 mg) three times a day with main meals
-
If a meal contains no fat, the dose may be skipped
-
Take with water during or up to 1 hour after the meal
🔹 📋 Warnings and Precautions:

Maintain a nutritionally balanced diet, with fats evenly distributed across meals

May reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K)

A daily multivitamin supplement is recommended (taken at bedtime or 2 hours after Orlistat)

XENICAL ® treatment leads to an improvement in risk factors and disorders associated with obesity, including hypercholesterolemia, diabetes mellitus type 2, glucose intolerance, and hypertension heperinsulinemia as well as a reduction in visceral fat. In patients with type 2 diabetes who are overweight (BMI ³ 28 kg/m2) or obese (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2) XENICAL ®, along with a hypocaloric diet plan, provides additional glycemic control when used in combination with antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas and / or insulin
